Mouthwashing repeatedly uses the dead pixel, the horse Polle, mouthwash and the words take responsibility. The developer Q&A explains Polle’s design inspiration and the mouth image. Broader moral readings are interpretation, not an official definition of every symbol.
What I saw
This page separates what the cited accounts describe on screen from interpretation. Anya sees a dead pixel Curly does not; reading that as Curly ignoring problems is interpretation, not a developer quotation.
On screen
Anya tells Curly a dead pixel on a screen distracts her. He cannot see it. Polle is the company horse, and the developers connect the design to Hevoshullu. The cargo is mouthwash. Swansea drinks it. Posters claim it kills 99.9 percent of germs.
“Take responsibility” is a chapter title and a line the hallucinations repeat. The ending image walks out through Curly’s mouth. The developers have said that image means Jimmy has been speaking for Curly.
Readings, labeled as readings
Players treat the pixel as willful blindness, the horse as guilt, and the mouthwash as a company selling cleanliness while the crew uses it to get drunk. Those are useful readings. They are not patch notes.
The blind beast’s note, “You can’t run from it,” is text in the game. Connecting it to Jimmy’s crash is a reading that the horse-maze page keeps next to the walkthrough, not instead of the steps.
